2025 COA HKSAR Day Macau Rally

COA HKSAR Day Macau Rally is one of the best events in the middle of the year to celebrate the festivities of the holiday that has been carried out since the year of 1997.  It is a sailing event proudly and exclusively organized by COA in Hong Kong for decades!

The upcoming yacht races between Hong Kong and Macau are set to take place from June 29 to July 1, 2025, coinciding with the HKSAR Day celebrations. The COA HKSAR Day Macau Rally is one of the best events in the middle of the year to celebrate the festivities of the holiday that has been carried out since the year of 1997.  It is a sailing event proudly and exclusively organized by COA in Hong Kong for decades!

 

  • Schedule Overview

- Race to Macau on the First Holiday Day: The festivities commence with a thrilling race from Hong Kong to Macau on the first day of the race. This exciting event will commence with the Race to Macau where participants will set sail at morning from an area northwest of Lamma Island, navigating through the southern boundary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region towards Macau. 

- Lay Day in Macau on the Second Day: Following the race, participants and visitors enjoy a leisurely lay day in Macau. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to enjoy a lay day in Macau on June 30. This day is designed for relaxation and exploration, allowing visitors to experience the vibrant culture and attractions of Macau, known for its unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese influences. 

 

​- Race Back to Hong Kong on the Third Day: The festivities conclude with a return race to Hong Kong on the third day. This final leg of the journey encapsulates the celebration of HKSAR Day on July 1. Competitors will embark on the race back to Hong Kong. The return journey will take them through the picturesque waters south of Zhizhou Islands, culminating once again at the southern boundary of Hong Kong1.

  • Weather Expectations

Participants should prepare for warm weather conditions typical of this time of year, with expectations of Southwest winds enhancing their sailing experience. The combination of competitive racing and leisure time in Macau promises an engaging and memorable event for all involved.
