2026 COA Dragon Boat Macau Rally – Passage Races Confirmed, Registration Open

Event Date: 19 - 21 June 2026, Friday - Saturday

The Macau Rally is fully booked.

The Cruiser Owners Association is pleased to confirm that the Macau Rally 2026 passage races to and from Macau will proceed as planned, and we are now welcoming registrations from member boats.

Unfortunately, the planned in-shore races, that the COA promoted but did not organise, during the lay day in Macau will no longer take place. The local organisers responsible for the in-shore racing have been unable to secure the necessary insurance coverage for the boats that were intended to be used for that part of the event. As a result, the in-shore racing has had to be cancelled.

While we understand this may be disappointing for some participants, the main passage races remain fully scheduled and we are looking forward to an excellent rally on the water. Places are available for both PHS and IRC classes, and priority will be given to COA member boats. We strongly encourage members to register early to secure their place.

The Macau Rally continues to be one of the highlights of the sailing calendar, offering competitive racing, great camaraderie, and a fantastic offshore experience.

Registered skippers will be added to the event's WhatsApp group, where all relevant information will be shared.

COA Hong Kong – Macau Rallies

Blending competitive sailing with a social getaway, the rally offers participants a memorable passage across the Pearl River Delta, a relaxing stopover in Macau, and a spirited race back home. Over the years it has become a favourite among local sailors, combining tactical racing, camaraderie, and the chance to experience Macau’s vibrant atmosphere.

Due to limited marina berth availability in Macau, the COA will once again organise three Macau Rallies in 2026, giving more member boats the opportunity to take part in this long-standing sailing tradition.

Demand for these events is typically high, and rallies are often fully subscribed well in advance. We therefore strongly encourage early registration. Please note that, due to berth limitations, entry cannot be guaranteed for all applicants, and priority will be given to COA member boats (non-member boats are still welcome to apply).
