2026 COA Lee Kum Kee Cooking Champ

Event Date: Wednesday, 1 July 2026

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, 24 June 2026

The COA is delighted to introduce a brand-new addition to the racing calendar — the Lee Kum Kee Cooking Champ — an event that combines culinary creativity with tactical team sailing in one unique challenge.

The day begins with an onboard cooking competition, where crews will create and present an original dish using Lee Kum Kee sauces as the key flavour component. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and technical skill whilst transforming iconic Lee Kum Kee ingredients into distinctive dishes prepared entirely onboard. Each entry will be judged by a panel of professional chefs based on flavour, presentation, originality, technique, and the effective use of Lee Kum Kee products.

Once the cooking challenge concludes, the focus shifts from the galley back to the water for the Team Speed Cruising Session. Boats will compete in teams of three, sailing towards their respective home harbours whilst attempting to cover the greatest corrected distance possible within the allocated time. Success will depend not only on sailing performance, but also on teamwork, tactical route planning, and changing wind conditions.

Combining competitive sailing with culinary innovation, the Lee Kum Kee Cooking Champ promises to be a lively and entertaining addition to the COA calendar — celebrating teamwork, creativity, and a shared passion for life on the water.

Sailing Instructions will be available closer to the event.
