The systems currently in use in Hong Kong are IR2000 (IRC & IRM), the Sports Boat Rule (SBR) and the COA’s Hong Kong Performance Number (HKPN) system. Most of the races in Hong Kong have divisions for each of these categories and this provides the opportunity for all types of boats to participate.

The IRC and SBR systems are administered by the Hong Kong Sailing Federation. HKPN is run by the Cruisers Owners' Association through the Ratings Committee.
